NAKISA, AMS, LEASE ACCOUNTING, SPORTS INDUSTRY
Our customer is one of the biggest multi-brand sports companies based in Europe, with a global community of 10.800 employees and operating in 41 countries. In 2022, its revenue totaled $3.5 billion.
The Client
The Challenge
Our client chose the Nakisa Lease Administration (NLA) to manage its complex lease scenario. As a multi-brand company, the lease accounting operations were decentralized, and the portfolio of almost 2.000 contracts was quite diversified (warehouses, factories, offices, storefronts, and vehicle leases).
Adopting SLAN as an end-to-end tool to perform lease management allowed the company to consolidate the lease data on a single tool.
With a freshly new tool being adopted, teams had little knowledge about the tool and about the lease accounting process. Simultaneously, the tool was not yet stable, presenting a lot of bugs and SAP connection issues.
Solution Approach
In this project, Qiado provided a Full Service AMS package, supporting our client´s internal lease accounting team and ensuring:
Correction of any mistakes and clarification of any lease accounting query
Clarification of accounting and posting topics
Validation of the monthly postings with a reconciliation process between systems
Master data maintenance & update
Continuous configuration updates & finetuning of the tool performance.
Supporting the customer with periodic tool upgrades and on-premise to cloud migration projects, including S4 Hana.
Business Results
The committed work done, allowed our customer to benefit from a stable lease accounting tool connected with ECC and with S/4 for running the correct and smooth IFRS 16 monthly process.
Moreover, their central lease accounting team has access to IFRS 16 best practices.
